Perception of Jabober

Greetings Guildmates!  It has occurred to me that some of you would benefit from the Craft of Perception as it was revealed to me, to be passed along to all followers of Jabober.  The following attachement is a tome on how to do just that, minus the voices of the ancients who help to guide you.  For those, you must seek me out for that training.

This tome assumes your vision is 1680 x 1050, the standard for most races in Norrath.  If your field of vision is different, adjustments to the notification signals will be necessary.

All my best, Master Okosar the Raconteur

Okosar, Favored of the Gods

doppleAgnostic enchanters don’t normally seek favor with the gods of Norrath. There is kind of an unwritten rule: you don’t show disrespect for them, and they don’t drop your illusion in the middle of Oggok (or worse). A quid pro quo that keeps everyone happy.

Who knows why I decided to get involved in the affairs of the gods. I guess I was flattered. I fancy myself a master fisherman, and I was at my favorite vacation spot in all of Norrath, the Isle in Erud’s Crossing. The wisps there paid (unwillingly) for most of my early adventuring gear. But I digress. There was an avatar on the island, A Primate of Prexus. Never seeing him there before, I decided to greet him, and before I knew what had happened, I was asked to collect some blessed fish for Prexus’s favor. Since I was fishing anyway, I thought, “Why not?”

Of course, if you’re helping one god, pretty soon they all want to get in on the action. Prexus’s fish were spread across creation, and as I was crossing the Feerott to my next fishing hole, an avatar of Cazic-Thule beckoned me. Now I was wondering what kind of can of worms I had opened by accepting Prexus’s task. There is a reason “pride” is on Jabober’s List of Deadly Transgressions.   Continue reading “Okosar, Favored of the Gods”

City of Mist: Shortcut

cityofmistAs we lounged in the splendor of our Guild Hall and caught up with each other’s latest adventures, my good friend Halmar, the Erudite wizard, suddenly turned to a matter that he had been working on. His eyes twinkled as he recounted a quest he had undertaken, and how he had already completed the initial phases; some by himself and some partnered with Amphar, our Froglok cleric guildmate. These initial steps were both great adventures in their own right, and may possibly be chronicled in this collection as well.

Halmar leaned over the table toward me and described a powerful scroll that holds the secrets of using a magical mental “burst” to confuse enraged foes and lower their rage. “What can I do to help?” I grinned. Continue reading “City of Mist: Shortcut”
